Year 2 WOOF Time Traveller Workshop

Throughout Summer 2, the children took part in an exciting drama workshop that unfolded over several weeks. They began by creating and role-playing their own community, Best Town, where everyone had a different role to play. After a werewolf invasion and a town meeting led by Mayor Ari, the children worked together to uncover who was suspicious in a game inspired by The Traitors. Their adventure then took them on a mystery mission, solving clues to unlock a secret room where they met the Professor from WOOF (Wardrobes of Our Friends), who revealed that wardrobes were time-travelling machines! Inspired by messages from the future, the children created their own imaginative stories using random objects as prompts and prepared to perform them for a special time traveller. As part of their preparations, they decided they would teach Daniel Defoe three modern-day things: the Macarena, the song Unwritten, and how to use an iPad. The workshop concluded with a visit to the library, where, after a drama warm-up, the children performed their stories before an unexpected visit from Daniel Defoe himself, bringing their exciting time-travelling adventure to life.
