Year 4 Stone Age Workshop

Year 4 began their new history topic with an exciting workshop that took them back thousands of years to the Stone Age. The children were welcomed by a Stone Age man who guided them through a range of hands-on activities.

First, they created cave paintings using chalk and charcoal on pieces of slate, inspired by real Stone Age artwork. They then transferred their designs onto paper to record in their Curriculum books.

Later, the children learned archery, where they were taught how to hold a bow, aim, and shoot arrows at animal targets. Everyone supported and encouraged each other, and some impressive shots were made. It seems their Stone Age guide will have deer or boar for dinner tonight!
